The Iloilo Provincial Bantay Dagat Task Force nabbed 11 fishermen engaging in Ring Net fishing locally known as “sensuro” along the coastal waters of Estancia on March 28, 2026.
The boat captain and its 10 crew members on board F/B YSAY are all residents of Barangay Jolog, Estancia. They are now under the custody of the Estancia Municipal Police Station and were informed of their constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine.
The fishing boat and its paraphernalia remain at the custody of the Iloilo Provincial Bantay Dagat Task Force.
Three tubs of anchovy or Balingon" worth P18,000 were recovered and donated to government penal hospitals and charitable institutions.
