1st Quarter Joint PPOC-PADAC Meeting

1ST QUARTER JOINT PPOC PADAC MEETING

Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. presided over the first quarter joint meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) on March 12, 2024, at the Casa Real de Iloilo Grand Social Hall.

Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office chief Cornelio Salinas also presented the Oplan Provincial Civil Defense Service (ProCid Serv) of Iloilo TRIPLE CARES which embodies a complete, strategic framework for disaster risk reduction, management, and civil defence services.

It includes the formulation of provincial government cluster action plans, the creation of robust emergency front liners, and the establishment of a state-of-the-art operations center.

Governor Defensor said ProCid Serv is an urgent approach of the province towards development in preparation for threats and natural calamities.

“The best defense against any threat is development – whether it is climate change, Yolanda, drug problem, or insurgency. But we want an urgent approach to development because we are in a hurry,” the governor said.

Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police, the Philippine Army and the Bureau of Fire Protection also gave updates on the peace and order situation in the province of Iloilo.
