Thousands of delegates from the 11 towns in the fifth district gathered for the opening of the 5th Congressional District Sports Association (CDSA) Meet hosted by the Barotac Viejo National High School on January 16, 2025.

The participants came from the municipalities of Ajuy, Balasan, Batad, Barotac Viejo, Carles, Concepcion, Estancia, Lemery, San Dionisio, San Rafael, and Sara.

The opening was led by Fifth District Rep. Raul Tupas, Board Member Binky Tupas, Vice Governor Christine Garin, DepEd Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Ernesto Servillon Jr., the municipal mayors, and DepEd officials, among others.
