The trophies are home! 🏆
The Department of Education Schools Division of Iloilo presented to the municipal mayors the championship trophies of the province of Iloilo for being the overall champion in the 2026 Western Visayas Regional Athletics Association (WVRAA) Meet.
Iloilo secured the top spot in three categories namely elementary, secondary, and paragames.
The Ilonggo athletes brought home a total of 259 golds - 111 earned for secondary games, 96 for elementary level, and 52 for paragames.
DepEd Iloilo Schools Division OIC-Superintendent Dr. Ruby Therese Almencion led the presentation during the MOA signing for the localization of the BES Basa program today at the Casa Real de Iloilo.
Joining her are Assistant Division Superintendents Dr. Marlon Destreza and Maria Lunie Sampani; and Chief Education Supervisor of the School Governance and Operations Division Gilbert Solidum.
Meanwhile, the SDO Iloilo also dominated the WVRAA DepEd Basketball League.
