Ilonggo Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) champion Robin Catalan, who hails from Santa Barbara, Iloilo, with his wife Kath Catalan paid a courtesy visit to Gov. Arthur Defensor, Jr. this morning. They were accompanied by Mr. Ray Cabarles of the Iloilo Sports Development and Management Office (ISDMO).
Catalan is a Gold medalist in the Kun Bokator, Sea Games Cambodia 2023 in Thailand.
He was also Bronze Medalist in the Asian and Oceanian Sambo Championship 2023 held in Kazakhstan.
Catalan was also declared Muay Thai World Champion in 2011 and Gold medalist in the 2007 and 2010 Muay Thai National Championships.
He also got the distinction of 2X URCC Brawl Champion and 2X Sambo Ultimate Fistfighting Championship in One Championship MMA.
As an Ilonggo Gold medalist in the 32nd SEA Games, Catalan will receive an incentive from the Iloilo provincial government.
