Provincial Administrator Raul Banias called for a meeting with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Western Visayas to brief the Capitol offices of the uses and benefits of the newly-launched eGovPH app and eLGU system.

The meeting aims to familiarize the provincial employees with the digital tools to be integrated in the daily operation of the Iloilo provincial government to make its processes and services more transparent and accessible.

The eGovPH app serves as a one-stop platform where the public can easily access local and government services. The eLGU is a government initiative aimed at modernizing local government services through digital technology.

The Iloilo provincial government, under Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr., has already adopted digitization in streamlining its processes and improving the delivery of its services.

According to the DICT, 39 local government units in the province have already an operationalized eLGU system.
