On the second day of the Training-Seminar on Artificial Intelligence for Government Communicators, the participants learned the use of AI-powered tools in crafting social media content from Dr. Ian Espada, faculty of the West Visayas State University College of Communication – Division of Journalism.
Dr. Espada also taught the participants the ethical and data privacy considerations in using AI technologies.
In the afternoon, they underwent a workshop in utilizing AI tools when writing press releases.
The three-day event is being organized by the Public Information and Community Affairs Office from Oct 9-11, 2025 at Damires Hills Farm and Spa Resort.
It gathered the designated information officers from the different Capitol departments and provincial and district hospitals.
The activity aims to capacitate government communicators in using artificial intelligence to enhance the dissemination of the programs and services of the Iloilo provincial government.
