
The Iloilo Provincial Government reaffirmed its commitment to advancing technological innovation through its active participation in the Quantum Technology Forum recently held at the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) Little Theater.
The event, which explored the transformative potential of quantum computing, communication, and sensing, brought together industry leaders, technology experts, and government representatives to discuss the role of emerging technologies in driving economic growth and solving complex challenges.
Ms. Aulynn Yue Sin, LEDIP Center Iloilo Province Chief, delivered a message on behalf of Governor Arthur Defensor Jr., highlighting the Provincial Government’s dedication to exploring technologies that can enhance economic growth particularly in finance, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, and agriculture while ensuring inclusivity and social justice.
Information Communication Technology Management Office - Province of Iloilo (ICTMO), led by Engr. Sixthree Demaisip, also actively participated, reflecting the Provincial Government’s hands-on approach in supporting technology-driven initiatives.
The forum featured insightful discussions led by Mr. Nardo Manaloto, Managing Partner of Qubits Venture, who shared expert perspectives on the potential of quantum technology to revolutionize various industries.
SAMA US Foundation founder Ms. Hazel Mann, whose Ilonggo roots trace back to Lambunao, Iloilo, underscored the province’s global ties and readiness to embrace technological advancements.
The Iloilo Provincial Government remains proactive in identifying opportunities for research, development, and investment in emerging technologies.
By fostering public-private partnerships, the province aims to position Iloilo as a leader in innovation, ensuring that these advancements generate economic opportunities and enhance public services for its constituents.
