Piyesta sa Kakahuyan was launched through Provincial Ordinance No. 2000-04 in September 2000. It is a celebration rooted in the advocacy for environmental conservation and participatory forest governance in Iloilo Province.
This year marks a remarkable milestone—the 25th anniversary of Piyesta sa Kakahuyan. As we commemorate this silver jubilee, we look back on the millions of trees planted, the hectares of forest protected, and the lives touched by environmental education and community engagement. But this is more than a celebration of past achievements-it is a call to renew our commitment to the future, for a FOREST PROVINCE.
