CAPITOL TO RELEASE VOLUNTEERS ALLOWANCES ON DEC 2 TO 13

Good news! The allowances of the 14,500 community volunteers under the Iloilo provincial government has increased from PHP4,000 to PHP 5,000 this year.

They will start receiving their allowances from December 2 to 13, 2024 in time for the Christmas celebrations.

The community volunteers include the Barangay Health Workers (BHW), Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPO), Day Care Workers (DCW) and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS).

The community volunteers help the Iloilo Provincial Government in the implementation of programs and projects on health, social welfare, population and nutrition management.

Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. said the allowances are given to the community volunteers annually in recognition of their efforts and the continuous and sustained implementation of the said programs.

“This is just a small amount compared to the services that they render to our communities but we hope that it can help them and their families this Christmas season. What is important is that we recognize their important contribution to the success of our programs and projects,” Defensor stressed.

Defensor already directed the release of Php72,500,000 for the allowances of the BHW, BSPO, DCW and BNS.
