The Provincial Board of Canvassers has proclaimed Gov. Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr. as the re-elected governor of the province of Iloilo, securing his third and final term.
Defensor was accompanied by his wife First Lady Michelle Defensor, his father and former governor Arthur Defensor Sr., his mother Cosette Defensor, and his brother and re-elected Third District Rep. Lorenz Defensor during the proclamation.
Based on the final and official results, the unopposed governor earned an overwhelming 811,746 votes, a reflection of the trust and confidence of the Ilonggos to the Defensor brand of governance.
