Members of the Emergency Responders of Iloilo (EROI), led by their President Joecil Mayor, reaffirmed their dedication to public service by taking their oath of commitment to respond during disasters and emergencies.
The oath-taking ceremony was administered by Vice Governor Nathalie Ann Debuque, witnessed by Provincial Administrator Raul Banias and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) head Cornelio Salinas.
According to Salinas, the renewed pledge of the EROI aligns with Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr.’s Executive Order No. 111, Series of 2025. The order establishes the Provincial Community Defense Action for MoRProGRes Iloilo — Kapayapaan, Kaayusan at Katatagan Tungo sa Kaunlaran ng Bagong Pilipinas, also known as 4K for MoRProGRes.
Comprising select personnel from various offices of the Iloilo Provincial Government, EROI members are specially trained in disaster response and search and rescue operations.
They serve as the frontline responders for provincial government offices and are also mobilized to assist in emergency situations across the province.
