Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. thanked the Iloilo Provincial Employees and Community Multi-purpose Cooperative (IPECMPC) headed by chairperson Modesto Margarico, Jr. for its help and support to the programs and projects of the Iloilo Provincial Government.

He made the remark during the 2022 General Assembly and Election of Officers of the IPECMPC at the Iloilo Convention Center in Mandurriao, Iloilo City last Saturday, May 14, 2022.

He also assured support to the IPECMPC just like the other cooperatives in the province.

At the height of the pandemic, IPECMPC also helped the provincial government in providing food for individuals in quarantine facilities.

The cooperative also donated food packs, facemasks and other protective equipment to the frontliners. It also established a community pantry for the clients of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).

Noel Raboy, President and CEO of CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative, and Vincent Unarce, representing Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) VI regional director Nora Patron, graced the activity.

Meanwhile, the winners in the election for Board of Directors are the following: 1) Modesto Margarico Jr., 2) Ma. Concepcion Jesusa Garrido, 3) Engr. Romeo Andig, 4) Alma Ravena, 5) Ma. Celia Sabido, 6) Atty. Arturo Cangrejo, and 7) Aaron Raymundo.
