Volunteer workers from the Fifth District of Iloilo were the first to receive their Php 5,000 cash gift at Barotac Viejo Gymnasium and Balasan Civic Center on December 2 and 3, respectively.
The Fifth District towns are: Ajuy, Balasan, Barotac Viejo, Batad, Carles, Concepcion, Estancia, Lemery, San Dionisio, San Rafael and Sara.
The cash gift is given annually to the volunteer workers composed of Barangay Health Workers (BHW), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Day Care Workers (DCW), and Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPO) in recognition of their vital role in bringing the various programs of the Iloilo provincial government to the grassroots.
Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. allotted Php 72,500,000 for the cash incentives of 14,500 volunteers this year.

December 9 – Second District – Pavia Gymnasium
December 10 – Third District – Cordero Gymnasium, Pototan
December 11 – Third District – Lambunao Gymnasium
December 13 – Fourth District – Punong Grande Gym, Passi City
December 15 – Fourth District – Banate Gymnasium
