Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. served as a guest speaker today for Module 4 of the Leadership and Governance Fellowship Program for Mayors, organized by the Jesse M. Robredo Foundation Inc.
The session was held at the Napoli Meeting Room, ibis Styles Manila, Araneta City.
Governor Defensor highlighted the Bulig Eskwela sang Probinsya (BES Probins) Program, his flagship initiative designed to create an effective, relevant, and transformative education system for Iloilo.
He detailed the province’s strategic policies for addressing classroom shortage and enhancing the reading proficiency of Ilonggo students.
The governor was supported by Maria Alfreda Fajardo, head of the Provincial Education Management Office (PEMO), and Planning Officer III Mae Abeja.
