The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Zambales, led by Schools Division Superintendent William Roderick Fallorin, conducted a learning visit in the province of Iloilo to study the provincial government’s innovation and best practices, particularly in Special Education Fund (SEF) utilization and customer service excellence.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr., alongside Provincial Education Management Office (PEMO) Assistant Department Head Maria Alfreda Fajardo and Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) Chief Atty. Renee Valencia.
Superintendent Fallorin emphasized that the division aims to learn from Iloilo’s governance model and how the provincial government does things in achieving the outcome that it desires for the education sector.
He noted that Iloilo's success stems from finding practical but not extravagant solution to pressing education concerns. He added that a harmonious relationship between the provincial government and the Department of Education is also a driver of this success.
Fajardo presented the province's flagship education initiative under Governor Defensor’s Bulig Eskwela sang Probinsya (BES Probins) program. The Provincial School Board also boasted a 96 percent utilization rate through the aggressive implementation of infrastructure projects and other impactful educational programs across public schools.
Madamo guid nga salamat sa pagbisita sa Iloilo, SDO Zambales! 🤝
