The Iloilo Provincial Government continues with its commitment of advocating for a cleaner, safer, and energy sufficient future for the Ilonggos.

The provincial officially opened its 100 KW Solar PV System Phase 1 during the switching on ceremony today, April 7, 2025 at the kickoff of the 124th Semana sang Iloilo.

Present in the event are Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr., Provincial Administrator Dr. Raul Banias, PGENRO Chief Atty. Cesar Emmanuelle Buyco, Jr., Energy Efficiency and Conservation Focal Person Rey Victor Garin, Provincial Engineer Romeo Andig, and PPDO acting head Valme Lujan.

The completion of the phase 1 of the three-phased Solar PV Installation is a testament to Iloilo’s shift to renewable energy and as part of its Local Energy Efficiency and Conservation Plan.
