A coordination meeting under the DRRM-CCA BroadCAST initiative was successfully held, gathering key partner agencies and provincial offices across Iloilo Province today, April 27, at Casa Real de Iloilo.
The activity focused on aligning strategies, clarifying roles, and strengthening collaboration for a unified, radio-based disaster information campaign.
Officials also discussed communication approaches and content planning to ensure more effective delivery of information to the public.
The initiative underscores the importance of coordinated communication in delivering timely, accurate, and reliable disaster advisories—especially to vulnerable and hard-to-reach communities.
Through radio, the project aims to provide early warnings, preparedness guidance, and safety information before, during, and after hazard events.
