The Provincial Health Office (PHO), headed by Dr. Maria Socorro Colmenares-Quiñon, presented to Governor Arthur Defensor Jr., Vice Governor Nathalie Ann Debuque, Provincial Administrator Raul Banias and provincial government employees the awards they received during the Western Visayas Harmonized Health Excellence Awards, held at Diversion 21 Hotel in Iloilo City on October 3, 2025.
The presentation took place during the flag-raising ceremony this morning.
The Province of Iloilo was awarded as the Most Outstanding LGU (Province/HUC Category) in Local Health Systems by the Department of Health – Western Visayas Center for Health Development receiving a plaque of recognition and a cash award worth PhP 600,000.00.
PHO was also recognized for its exemplary implementation of the following programs:
