The Provincial Nutrition Committee - Provincial Nutrition Technical Working Group held its 3rd quarter meeting on Sept. 28, 2023, at the Casa Real Grand Social Hall.
Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Dr. Wendel T. Marcelo presided over the meeting and gave an overview of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) 2023-2028 as well as updates on the Local Nutrition Action Plan 2024.
Partner offices and agencies provided updates on their nutrition programs and activities.
The Committee also recognized Ms. Leni C. Disin who won as Regional Outstanding Nutrition Program Coordinator and National Contender as awarded by the National Nutrition Council VI.
The Provincial Nutrition Committee of the Province of Iloilo also won the Green Banner Seal of Compliance for 2022. The Regional Awarding Ceremony will be held on Nov. 28, 2023.
