The Provincial Nutrition Committee gathered to discuss updates on the implementation of local nutrition programs to ensure the health and well-being of every Ilonggo child on June 11, 2026 at the Provincial Health Office Conference Room.
One of the highlights of the meeting is the upcoming 52nd Nutrition Month Celebration this July, which carries the theme “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan Ating Pangalagaan.”
In line with this, the PNC will spearhead a tree-planting activity in coordination with the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office.
Meanwhile, Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Dr. Wendel Marcelo reported a significant improvement in Iloilo's overall nutritional status, noting a steady decline in rates of stunting, wasting, overweight, and underweight among children aged five years old and below.
