The Iloilo Provincial Government continues to provide barangays with a modern and sturdy venue for local events and activities.
Yesterday, Gov. Toto Defensor inaugurated a two-storey multi-purpose hall in Brgy. Calapdan, Estancia.
The P3.3 million facility is funded by the Iloilo provincial government as part of its barangay support program to uplift the living standards of the Ilonggos.
The turn-over ceremony was joined by Estancia Mayor Bianca Requinto-Espinosa, Acting Provincial Engineer Jeb Escarilla, Municipal Administrator Engr. Arman Ravena, Barangay Captain Ronald Bagatnan, and other municipal and barangay officials.
Bagatnan thanked the governor for the “long-awaited” infrastructure project in their barangay. The multi-functional facility will host socio-cultural events, disaster response operations, and other activities.
“May barangay hall na kita nga mapag-on ang istruktura. Salamat gid sang madamo, Gov. Amon gid ini pagahalungan,” Bagatnan shared and pledged to safeguard the new building.
