Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. and Provincial Administrator Raul Banias warmly received the officials of the Province of Bohol and Tagbilaran City led by Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado and Mayor Jane Yap, respectively, this morning.

The Iloilo Provincial Government donated a computer set (desktop and printer) to the Municipality of Oton for the use of the Oton Municipal Police Station.

Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Dennis Ventilacion turned over the equipment to Mayor Sofronio L. Fusin, Jr. for the use of the Oton Municipal Police Station and Patrolman Joelan D. Falcis on behalf of Acting Chief of Police Lieutenant Col Abner T. Jordan.

Bacolod City, Philippines — The Iloilo Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO-Iloilo) participated in a Tabletop Exercise organized by the Office of Civil Defense Region 6 (OCD 6) to enhance preparedness for a potential eruption of Mt. Kanlaon.

The exercise brought together local government units, national agencies, and the armed forces to evaluate the effectiveness of various communication tools, including radios, social media, and satellite phones during a simulated volcanic crisis.
