The Iloilo Provincial Government together with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) of Iloilo spearheaded the distribution of the DILG Administered Package of Assistance under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) on June 25.
Former rebels and militia ng bayan from different towns in the province received financial assistance of P15K.
βGatinguha gid nga maka provide [ang DILG, AFP, PNP, and provincial and national government] sang mga resources nga somehow makasugod kita sa normal nga pagpangabuhi, kag pangabuhi nga may sarigan kita kada-adlaw,β said Iloilo Provincial Administrator Dr. Raul Banias, who kicked off the said event by delivering a message on behalf of Governor Arthur R. Defensor Jr.
The event was supported by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development (PSWDO), Civil Society Organization (CSO), Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Gen. Michael Samson, commanding officer of the 301st Infantry Brigade of the 3rd Infantry Division, Philippine Army, expressed his satisfaction and hope for the beneficiaries.
"Nalipay gid ako nga nakabaton kamo sang financial assistance subong nga hapon. Mas amo ni gusto ko matabo kay sa makit-an kamo sa engkwentro," concluded General Samson.
